I worked at Death by Audio for a long time. They’re family. While making a record last year with the band I’m in (Activity) I wanted a certain sound that the old Exit Index approximated but didn’t quite pull off, so I rebuilt it and did some stuff to get the sound I wanted. I decided to make some for others too. Then came the Dot Dot Damage. Working on others now.

I like to make things that feel unique when I'm playing them, and I like pedals that make me play differently, that make me think "what if I ..." when I'm playing, instead of just "oh, what a good sounding delay" or something like that (nothing wrong with good delays though!). So that's what I try to make. But who knows. I made a really good sounding boost so maybe I'll put that out someday.

Only selling directly to customers, no wholesaling to stores or distributors. All pedals will get put out in batches and when they’re gone, they’re gone until I can make more, and I don’t really know when that will be. It’s all hand-wired and and hand-soldered and I’m just me so I can only make so many :/

A lot of times it’s a bad cable or bad power supply so please double check that first. That said, all pedals are guaranteed for life, so if it’s still not working, write me at info@trapdoorelectronics.com with a detailed description of the problem and we’ll go from there. I’ll repair anything for free so long as it hasn’t been modded or improperly powered.

Orders can be cancelled if they haven’t been shipped yet. Returns accepted up to 30 days after shipment if the pedal is unused and like new.

Shipping within the US is free.
Canada is $25 for the first pedal, $5 for each additional pedal.
International is $30 for the first pedal, $5 for each additional pedal.
If you’re NYC local you can try and arrange a pick up too.
I get everything out as fast as I can, which is usually the business day after the order comes in.
