ABOUT
After ten years at Death by Audio, I took a break from the pedal world, but I missed it too much. The itch to create little boxes of big creativity. I decided to branch out on my own.
The inspiration behind Trap Door Electronics is the unexpected, the surprising, the strange. Textures and sounds that catch you off guard, like… a trap door. Each pedal is uniquely interactive and dynamic in ways that other pedals out there simply are not. Rhythmic, responsive, dangerous, deadly. Downright weird. Often beautiful. But, for the creative musician, always intensely musical.
Every sound created by a Trap Door pedal is analog. Every unit is hand-wired and hand-soldered by me, with no plans to change that. Every pedal is built for life, with free lifetime repairs, unless there have been modifications. They are road-tested and sturdy as hell.

REPAIRS / SUPPORT
A lot of times it’s a bad cable or bad power supply so please double check that first. That said, all pedals are guaranteed for life, so if it’s still not working, write me at info@trapdoorelectronics.com with a detailed description of the problem and we’ll go from there. I’ll repair anything for free so long as it hasn’t been modded or improperly powered.
Orders can be cancelled if they haven’t been shipped yet. Returns accepted up to 30 days after shipment if the pedal is unused and like new.
SHIPPING POLICY
Shipping within the US is free.
International depends on the pedal (Active Acid being bigger), but roughly $25 to Canada and $30 to the rest of the world, with $5 for each additional. If you’re NYC local you can try and arrange a pick up too. I get everything out as fast as I can, which is usually the business day after the order comes in.
When you order you'll get a confirmation followed by tracking information. If for some reason you haven't gotten your pedal, reach out at info@trapdoorelectronics.com
